Women’s Workshop (IWD 2025) – Continuing the Journey of Empowerment

Following the success of our Women’s Day workshop in 2024, Mamun International once again brought women together for a skills training program in celebration of IWD 2025. This year, in line with the theme “Accelerating Action,” we focused on equipping women with practical skills in pastry-making—not just as a craft but as a means to create income and financial independence.

Building on last year’s foundation, this workshop continued to empower women with hands-on training in making Cameroonian pastries while also covering essential business skills such as costing and pricing, marketing strategies, and developing an entrepreneurial mindset. Beyond learning new skills, the event provided an opportunity for women to connect, share experiences, and build a support network—reinforcing the belief that empowered women empower communities.
At Mamun, we are committed to accelerating action by providing real opportunities for women to learn, grow, and thrive. Seeing these women walk away with new skills, confidence, and a vision for their future is what keeps us going.

Visit to Zion Rehabilitation Center, Yaoundé – Cameroon

Mamun organized a special outreach event at the Zion Rehabilitation Center and Orphanage in Yaoundé on June 16, 2024, with the belief and commitment to bringing hope, joy, and essential support to vulnerable children. The visit aimed to uplift the spirits of the children, reminding them that they are valued and loved. The day was filled with fun activities, laughter, and meaningful conversations, where Mamun shared words of encouragement and inspiration.

Beyond emotional support, Mamun provided essential supplies to improve the children’s well-being. The items donated included:

• New clothes
• Toys
• Games and art supplies
• Food items
• Hygiene kits
• Sanitary pads
• Financial support

The impact of this visit was heartwarming, as the children’s smiles and excitement reflected the joy brought by the event. Mamun was deeply moved by their resilience and determination, reinforcing her commitment to continuing such initiatives. The event was a reminder that small acts of kindness can create lasting change, and Mamun remains grateful to everyone who contributed to making it a success.

Youth Talks with LBA Students in Yaoundé – Cameroon

In celebration of Youth Day 2024, Mamun International had the incredible opportunity to speak with Upper Sixth students of Government Practicing High School Yaoundé (LBA) in a campaign focused on building their self-confidence. The initiative aimed to empower young people by helping them embrace their self-worth, overcome negativity, and celebrate their individuality.

The program featured interactive activities, including; Workshops, Mentorship sessions, and Open discussions. The enthusiasm and energy of the students were truly inspiring. Watching them challenge limiting beliefs, discover their inner strength, and embrace their unique potential was a powerful experience. Mamun remains committed to empowering youth and is grateful to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success.
